Guild wars(first one) or GW:factions?

which is the best for a complete newbie to the franchise?

Probably Guildwars.

Factions is nice but it realy does throw you in at the deep end a little bit more than gw. Its also a shorter campaign. Factions is however that little bit more pollished, spose its what you get from an extra year of development.

i was thinking about just going for the first reading up on it a bit as they said it was a bit bigger and more to do and learn etc for the newbie. ive seen them both for £17.99 so il try to find the first a bit cheaper if possible Cool

my sarcasm was saying we were active when we're well.... not.

kev said he would be on last night and wasn't, so i said that was sarcasm. :p

Hopfully if you join us we will be more active... I play a fair amount and once they get it re-installed the others might start playing again too.

im not trialing wow, they need payment details and theyve been known to charge after the 'free' period, just make sure you cancel the sub on the 9th day as you need to access the account menu ingame to cancel it without it charging you 1 month. i only found that out today btw.

Ive not played WOW but as far as I can tell its nothing like it. no monthly fees
, and its not level based, but skill based. They also update it alot to keep the game balanced and add new content every now and then for free, as well as the 6 monthly paid for expansions. All in all, for 17 quit you can hardly complain. I've paid alot more for games I've hardly played.
