@plut,
are you running any dividers on the ram? and whats the ram running at? stock 200mhz? also ram timings may effect it. and are you running 2x1gb ram sticks or 4x512mb sticks? if 4 then youre running 2T which will slow stuff down.
mine is at 240mhz@1:1 with the cpu so thats probably why im edging ahead.
has that 3800 got 1mb of l2 cache?
/edit, and i would say that your GT is underperforming too. you say its overclocked too?

ok i just checked and my card had lost its settings....
So re-ran the main tests and got new score of:
3dmarks: 1660
SM" : 652
HDR/SM3: 612
CPU: 932
As for other questions.
The 3800+ is only 512 L2 cache
yes the RAM is only at 200Mhz.
its on 2 1gig sticks in dual channel mode.
and umm, what do you mean by dividers?
One of my ram sticks had a head spreader on it, would have been both but they were too close _________________

in the bios, it will say something like 200-1:1 or 133-5:4. basically the divider will run the memory slower but still maintain the 200mhz fsb for the cpu, its so you can use older memory with the newer cpu's really as with the old socket A's if you didnt have the right ram it would severely underclock the cpu _________________

Nice graphics card m8
but one question does the fan blow the air in or out? cause I woulda thought it would work better if the fan blew the air over the heatsink and out of the case _________________

its like a tornado at the back of the case. theres a gap at the front which i can only think is where it pulls the air from the heatsink, ive got a 120mm fan in the front of my case that is feeding it cool air from outside the case
then it blows it out the back. keeping it at 49c at idle with stock clicks (625/1500!!!) so its not too bad. theres currently no after market cooler available thats man enough to keep these cards cool though so i cant change it yet. does look like a toy though, that red bit in the middle heh

hmm, not a massive improvement but meh. ill give 05 a go as i can get a better idea from that as i think 06 loves dual cores a little too much.
heh, 3dmark05:
with the 7800gt i scored 7000 so thats a healthy improvement. still need to get a dual core cpu though \w/ _________________

i first thought u scored the 9000 with v06 and was like
damn hot grafic card m8! congratulations u beat my 7800 gtx but i can tell ya my card doesnt blow like a hurricane - its actually quite quiet. i so dont like these monster-fans...
and im sure ur right about v06 loving dual core cpu's - dont get my 3800+ tho, its the worst of all available dual core cpu's
but until u get one its me whos on top with the overall score... muaharhar!

lol@pic, sorry im j/k.
whats so bad about your 3800? ive seen some of them hit 2.8ghz so that essentially faster than the 4800x2 cpu. and the 3800 is pretty cheap over here right now too. _________________
