i got a bit bored today, so i nipped down to maplins

and came back with 4 superbright blue led's and hey presto

Getting every thing ready....

taking apart the keyboard, you can see the 4 led's that will be changed in the middle above the f-keys

here is a pic of the first led in place from the back

and here is one with all the led's in place

now for a bit of trimming....

after putting all back together comes the moment of truth

they are not as bright as they are in the pic, thats just lens glare
but yer i can turn them on/off when ever i please Wink

Added after 8 minutes:

i got another 3 mods on the way too
next one is a portable psone screen embedded in either the side or the top of my case. If you dont know what i mean then have a look here

2nd one to come is on the keyboard again, im going to illuminate the keys with some cold cathode wire...like so

and the last mod is going to be on the sde of my asus ta212 case
ill be dremelling out the ASUS logo, fitting some plexi glass and a blue cathode to light it up. Pic of my case below

interesting mods m8... keeps u busy i bet.

i dont have the time 4 stuff like that. was interested in casemodding b4 u could buy those already modded cases...

i visited sites like http://www.moddingfreax.de/, its in german but has many pictures (and they use alot of english words Razz

maybe u can find some more nice ideas there)

naah, not at all

1x 120mm cpu fan, 1x 120mm case fan and a ultra silent on my x800xl and a tagan psu with ultra silent fan
super quiet Wink

the only thing i hear now is my hdd spinning up
