I stumbled across this little gem today..... It's a strange picture, as you'll soon see. Apparently weird shit happens to those that look at this pic (noted to be a "curse" pic in the darkest corners of 4chan), and has even driven a woman to commit suicide (link).

Now, I'm not one for superstitions and the like, but this is quite odd. The only mentions of this picture that I (or the person who sent it to me) could find were of the story I posted the link for. And we only found 2. Period. Google searches, yahoo, nothing but the deviantART story. And, as far as that story goes, that's been the case for many, many years. No one's claiming it, no one wants to even admit it exists. What is the big taboo here? All mentions of it, anywhere, are quickly silenced. Wikipedia, 4chan, everyone keeps a wrap on it. I suspect the deviantART story will vanish when someone higher up hears of it. But my question is: why?
