Added after 2 minutes:

oh, wmdb was made by aliceinchains.

It was at the time Annelid was making something simular but never got round to finishing it / making it work. Alicinchains made something that actually worked, he released it at the time the colored maps patch came out and named it Worms colored Maps Database
