cod2 isnt as good as cod, but i havent tried it on multi, i didnt like it enough to buy it

every1 likes different games, otherwise there wouldnt be so many...

cod2 > cs:s > cod > fear > quake4 imo, but im only playing multiplayer. never played bf2 so i cant say anything about it. gotta try out dod:s, if its a mix of cod2 and cs:s it must be awesome. coz the only thing im missing in cod2 is a ragdoll-system.

btw: cod2 gets pb in the next patch (link)

never heard about a global ban with punkbuster
so far i have only heard it about Dice implmenting it in bf2
They ban your cdkey, IP, HDD hardware code and your modems MAC address.
in other words you are fo0ked

just buy a new game
if you have a second hdd, install it on that
plus i have a...err....cloned modem and i can find another mac to clone np any way so finding another ip isnt a problem it just means the modem i am cloning wont be able to go online Wink

for any one else, turn your modem off for a day and it should issue you with another ip, in some cases changing proxy should work
forgot to mention, they also ban you ethernet MAC too, download SMAC to get past this though, it fakes the mac address on your NIC

haha no ive never been through it, and nope i dont cheat Very Happy

ill admit i cheated in the past, but that ended with mohaa, great game in its time, totaly wasted and ruined when people started using permutation opengl hack. These days i buy games for the a legit cdkey and i dont want that £30 to go to waste
and yep your right about the ban, its cheating they look out for, which is why i only play ranked and official servers with pb enabled
