Too hot to sleep so have started on the new model, spent about an hour or two on it now and have reached the first stage - wheel arches! oh yes, lol

Might even get to the next stage tonight as its still too hot, ah well time for another drink...

Added after 1 hours 46 minutes:

ok, round two, head light and fog light holes cut, and lower grill hole cut, mesh moved to fit door frame.

lol no, i found the blueprints on the net - i had them round it before but had them as non-renderable. Its definatly a nicer mesh this time round and im pretty much back to where i was so im pretty happy Smile got to find a job though so wont have much more tome for it Sad

Dude, we need that turntable it was looking awesome Very Happy

Added after 2 hours 8 minutes:

Cut the last of the front holes and put some basic materials in, formed the bumper and middle ridge of the front... doesnt look so good without the meshsmoothe on but hopefully i can fix that later Smile

i like to see the frustrating face of pluto while doing that rim LOL
btw is it a boxmodel tutorial or spline or woot ?
k lemme open 3ds to see the undo menu

--> Customize / Preferences (General card) :
there we go. top left . mine is setr on 80. some times i really need some more lol
i dont save my work often aswell

i made a rim in the past if u want u can have it . thats the one

maybe that tut u would like to view aswell .. many stuff to learn in m8 ... hf

http://www.3dmaxer.dk/tutdown2.asp?type=max&id=692

and heres another rendermethod. i think it gaves best results called hdri. easy tutorial here with no plugins. but takes a while.
my render from the rim was done with mentalray i think.
